A feared gunman, the cockroach John G. G. Tucker, is leaning against the bar, when the little bug Hessi James drives up to the petrol pump. John provokes Hessi, an uneven confrontation seems to arise. But things turn out different...

A man and his pet, a mouse, move to another town. No ordinary town. Its inhabitants posess the most eccentric and beautiful pets. So nobody takes notice of the man and his mouse and he becomes an outsider. He then creates himself a gigantic animal and gains recognition of the people. But there is a certain price to pay.

A cave. It is dark. Somewhere, an irregular trickle of water. Embedded on the walls are fossils of dinosaur skeletons. There seems to be no sign of life. But in a dark niche we find a little pot in which a grey fungus is growing. Next to it further niches which are equally filled with fungi of different shapes. An entire fungi farm.
A hand appears on the screen and picks up one of the pots. The hand belongs to Pit, who now holds the fungus close to his eyes in order to inspect it carefully. He puts it back again. Then he repeats this procedure. He stumbles across a fungus of a shape unlike the others: It has little dents in his hat and reminds remotely of a flower. With a sound of astonishment Pit takes the pot in his shaking hands.

He is a pro. One of those, who have been around for a long time. With routine, almost even with boredom goes the pilot through the check of his aircraft with ground control. "Ready for take-off?" cracks the voice through the headphones. And he replies: "Ready for take-off!" Quietly Scotty and Günal take their places on the squash court. They have no idea that this match will end beyond their imagination.
