"Tik-tak-tik-tak". Friends Sarah and Charlotte feel their time is running out. Childless career woman Sarah (Katharina Böhm) feels her biological clock ticking. Her friend, single parent Charlotte (Esther Schweins), feels her professional chances as a lawyer float away since she took time out to raise her children. Both are totally unsatisfied with their day to day life and in an alcohol fuelled moment they decide to swap their lives. They want to know: the big test. Duration: 3 weeks. Sarah minds Charlottes son Timo (5) and daughter Lucy (2) whereas Sarah takes her places in the law firm in Frankurt. Both women are convinced: the job of the other is childs' play. The experiment can begin.

Children and teenagers meet in a restored factory building in this series. They experience adventures, help each other with day to day problems. To some the youth centre is their second home. Here they can talk and forget about their stress at school. There is a pool table, an internet café, a cuddle spot and lots of concerts.

If it had not been for Fabrixx and its former manager, Uli would have gotten on the wrong path. So he feels particularly responsible for the centre and the kids. He helps wherever he can, sometimes in less conventional ways and sometimes with surprising strictness.
