With a panicstricken expression on his face, a small boy fiddles with the lock on a big iron gate. He is being persued and wants to break out in order to escape further torment.

After the tragic accident of Fabos girl-friend Tami through which she suffers from total amnesia, Fabo has to fight for Tamis memory and their relation-ship. At the same time he meets the young and pretty Maja. Fabo has to make a decision.

In November last year, hobby astronomer Manfred Kranich (Michael Hanemann) coincidently discovered a so far unknown comet on the night skies above Mannheim. And this happens in Till Endemanns debut film "Comets" which was filmed by Eikon Südwest in co-production with the SWR and the support of the MFG in only 27 days. As the comet plummets towards earth the paths of nine different characters cross each other. A micro cosmos is being portrayed in short and inter- twined episodes: people full of desire, people on the search for luck and love, bound together by their flight from loneliness.
